need help with Shibboleth IDP 3.0 installation

If you choose to use a non-standard installation location,  which is a bad choice (don't fight software, that just makes your life hard), then you have to set idp.home as a system property. That's documented.

My advice is to start over and install it to /opt/shibboleth-idp
