Hi All,
I have a .NET application that makes requests to a web application running Apache CXF and Direct Web Remoting (DWR). The .NET application fails to authenticate because the .NET application is not configured to handle the IdP's username/password login handler.
I see I have the following options (but would like guidance on the preferred way to handle this use case):
1. Configure the IdP to use *both* username/password as well as certificates:
https://wiki.shibboleth.net/confluence/display/SHIB2/X.509+Login+Handler
2. Configure an ECP profile for my .NET application:
https://wiki.shibboleth.net/confluence/display/SHIB2/ECP
Lastly, no changes are needed on SP to support the X.509 login handler; is this correct?
Thanks for any guidance.
