Shibboleth + CAS logout

Good afternoon,


We are using the unicon-cas-authenticator and have run into a minor (major) issue.


When a logout request is sent to Shibboleth there is no obvious way to send a message closing the CAS session. We had previously implemented this with an image/script tag on the Shibboleth logout page.


However, this causes an integration issue with ADFS and other SP's that request a redirect back from the single logout url.


Has any one resolved this issue and if so would you mind pointing me in the correct direction. I would prefer your opinion before I start looking at modifying or creating an extension.


Upgrading to Shibboleth 3.0 isn't in the cards just yet but could be accelerated to resolve this problem.
