How do I specify entityID to the DynamicHTTPMetadataProvider?

I'm reading the docs on DynamicHTTPMetadataProvider:

It keeps talking about how the "entityID value" gets used in various
places, including as the metadata request URL for the well-known location
strategy.  But... where do I actually specify the entityID value?  I don't
see anywhere to put it.  This should definitely be clarified in these docs,
preferably with an example.
