More than 90% of InCommon IdPs are Shibboleth. To be exact, 378 of 419
InCommon IdPs run the Shibboleth software.

There are 1485 IdPs in eduGAIN metadata. Of those, 1145 are
Shibboleth. Most of the rest are simpleSAMLphp and AD FS. (I counted
:)

I estimate there are about 2000 IdPs in higher ed worldwide. Of those,
around 1600 are Shibboleth, that is, about 80%.
