Brandon,

Great to hear that things are working well.  If you want to use encrypted assertions, then you’ll need the SP(Freshdesk) to implement support for decryption.  Until then, that workaround is all you can do.

Please make sure that you’re using TLS for all legs of the transaction, which gives you good encryption against most salient attacks anyhow.
