idp login issue connecting to ldap

I would expect to see the ExtractUsernamePasswordFromFormRequest action
next, something like :

 DEBUG [net.shibboleth.idp.authn.AbstractExtractionAction:137] - Profile
Action ExtractUsernamePasswordFromFormRequest ...

and then org.ldaptive logging at DEBUG. But you say that's not happening,
and I'm not sure what is.
