I'm working on the additional documentation to explain how V3 selection 
works [1] and will keep hacking on it.

Marvin also identified a limitation of the code that I hadn't expected 
would exist [2], so I have a bug filed to find some time before the next 
update to revisit some things. Architecturally anything's possible now 
given some code, but it's going to take a few upgrade cycles to nail down 
how to do more things without code.
