Help with Active Directory LDS properties

I am new to working with Shibboleth IDP. I have set up an IDP v3.1.1 and I
can successful log-in against my Active Directory LDS ontestshib.org and a
few other SPs.

But I am not exposing any attributes. I am using a couple of SPs -
including the Spring SAML example app and a Joomla plugin and I am not even
exposing the name or mail correctly. The Spring SAML app seems to show an
encrypted string for name.

Could anyone provide any hints / examples of how I can debug and fix this.
