IDP and Internet Explorer page cannot be displayed error

To clarify, the internet2.edu address was an example. That address changes based upon the SP.

There's something seriously wrong in your system if you see that URL no matter what SP you try to use, but regardless, you're going to have to check web logs and probably do network traces and find out what it's actually doing.

The audit log is only going to tell you what the IdP did. It won't even tell you if the IdP is contacted to begin with. The web server log should tell you that at least.
