Rewrite rules took over Shibboleth SP SSO handler

Hi all,

We ran into a collateral damage when we have upgraded a shibboleth SP 
from 2.4.3 to 2.5.3.
We are running Apache2.2.3 HTTPD server.

We have a home brewed dokuwiki authN module on this server. The wiki 
relies heavily on URL rewriting rules for its pages handling/namespaces 
within its .htaccess own files. After the upgrade the 
"/Shibboleth.sso/Login" was no more handled by the mod_shib (Dokuwiki 
just tried to create a page name after that URL). We had to adapt the 
Apache rewriting rules to We had to adapt the rewriting rule in the 
.htaccess file to skip /Shibboleth.sso URLs.

We did not identify in the Shibboleth SP changelog what could cause that 
change of behavior.
If you have a clue about what changed in the SP to have such behavior, 
I'm very much interrested.
