IdP Cluster

Can someone please detail what are the differences between Shibboleth
sessions and those that are clustered by Tomcat 6? Thanks.

<attempts to use brain... /> From Haim's memcached storage service
UniMrMemcachedServletFilter Java class I see the Idp sessions are
edu.internet2.middleware.shibboleth.idp.session.Session; and are obtained
from a edu.internet2.middleware.shibboleth.idp.util.HttpServletHelper; which
is a clue to see that the idp Session does not actually come from the good
old javax.servlet.http.HttpSession that Tomcat 6 is supposed to cluster. Am
I right?

Looks like I'll go the memcached way :)
