Redirect to page after authentication

Is there a change that must be done on their (the IDP) end to send the users to a different page?

Then you have your answer.

Your client's users, however, don't care what your client wants, and will bookmark your application and defeat whatever the client's trying to achieve, so you should be prepared for that.
