Central discovery service filter by role?

Tom (& an open Q to anyone else for that matter)
For example if I wanted a run a central Discovery Service for only R&S
tagged IdPs (or based on any entity category for that matter), would it be
simple filtering in the DS configuration or will I have to do my own
clever parsing as Keith Wessel mentioned earlier in this thread?
The same can be said for local discovery configuration as well which may
result in a different approach.
