Chinmoy,
On most OS distributions you don't need to modify httpd.conf just to test the installation, but you may need to in your instance. Apache httpd on Windows is a hard place to start cold and there are a lot of things that can go wrong. You may have forgotten something here.
https://wiki.shibboleth.net/confluence/display/SHIB2/NativeSPWindowsApacheInstaller
If you can't solve this, you might try httpd on Linux or IIS on Windows, both of which are more common and straightforward.
Thanks,
Nate.

Nate,
I tried Apache only installation. I mean I did following steps:
1. Installed SP
2 Installed Apachhe Httpd (2.2.25)
Stated both of them and try "https://localhost/Shibboleth.sso/Status" from a browser but do not get any reply.
May be I am missing some configuration. Could you please send me a sample 'httpd.conf' file by which I can take a look exactly what I need to configure (may be same for shibboleth)?
BDW I am running win 64 bit machine but downloaded 32 bit httpd.

Chinmoy,
we have a web application which runs on Tomcat 7/ Wweblogic/ Websphere etc web servers. Now we want to implement Single Sign On for this our app along with other web apps. Now do we need to install the identity provider (IdP), and service provider (SP) both for simple implementation?
For simple SSO implementation, yes, an organization will typically run an IdP and multiple SP's.
I am have already installed Idp and it seems responding correctly. Now while I am trying to install SP with Aapache Web Server it does not respond normally.
I need to help and direction on this.
Have you tried starting with an Apache-only installation, then wiring it up to a servlet container? That may be easier.
Thanks,
Nate.
