Well, that pins down the bug inside the metadata provider, but I use the
same XML from what I can tell and it loads fine.

I really have no insight. It's a bug, but without a debugger attached to
pin down the crash line, I wouldn't have any idea what to suggest as a
workaround.

It has to be an environmental trigger given that the configuration works
fine for people.
