It's not the authentication that matters, it's the URL mapping process
that determines the ID, and there are hundreds of logging categories that
are in libraries that know nothing about application IDs at all.

However, there are certainly *cases* where the ID is known, and it's not
impossible to use categories in the future with the ID appended in
specific areas.
