Thank you very much for the information regarding apache not using C++ flags.

The Apache application that is protected with shibboleth is primarily
written with PHP and Curl.

In the past, I used the same curl module that is is built for shibboleth
when building php, and there have not been any problems. When compiling
curl, I added the flag "CXXFLAGS=-library=stlport4" but I don't see it the
library listed when I do an "ldd libcurl.so", so I'm taking that to mean it
doesn't use C++ libraries. If that is a good assumption, does it mean I
could have compiled without the CXXflag without issue?

I also do not have any CXXflags in my configuration script for PHP and would
appreciate it if anyone knows if it needs the "-library=stlport4" flag now
that I have it when building curl.

Building shibboleth on solaris in the past was so clean and easy that I want
to make sure it stays that way.

Thanks for your help.
