Dumb question 2
sudo apt-get install libapache2-mod-shib2
on Ubuntu
I ran shibd -v and it shows
2.4.3

This, in theory is the most recent package, why is it not at 2.5? or is that the package maintainers issue?

Jeff,

You should use a supported version in all cases. Interoperability will not be an issue between any reasonably modern version of Shibboleth with almost any use case.

Thanks,

This may seem like an odd question but which version of shibboleth SP should I install in a system connecting to a 2.4.3 IdP. Is 2.5 ok? I'm rebuilding an old server to an upgradeable state and it currently runs 2.3.1.
