question about installing v2.5.3 on Solaris

I have shib v2.4.3 functioning on Solaris 10, which I built with Sun
Compiler. For this, I used the installed version of openssl that came
with Solaris 10. It uses the same configure options as in your instruction.

I have reviewed the instructions about installing v2.5.3 and see that I need
to install the boost library if I want to use the Sun Compiler. Your
instructions indicate "If you are upgrading your system from an earlier
release to V2.5 or newer, and using the Sun compiler, you MUST rebuild all
of the dependencies"

Does that mean I can no longer use the preinstalled version of openssl
please? I know it is an old version but OS updates address all security
issues with that version.

I have compile scripts for all programs and installations have been a breeze
and I can just add the boost requirement because I use the Sun Compiler.

Thanks for your input.
Christine
