Also you don't need an SDK (i.e., the JDK version) to run the IDP, a
JRE will suffice.

I have used OpenJDK7 with Tomcat6 without problems on occasion.

I doubt it would do any harm the other way round as Tomcat wouldn't do
anything useful without Java. Except maybe when some other
(potentially obsolete) Java is already installed. But that's something
you'd likely have to configure anyway.

Is that jar freely available? If so could someone add a link to the
wiki? Then we could remove the restriction to Tomcat6 if SOAP support
is desired.
