ISAPI Filter/503 error - SP 2.5.3

We have Shibboleth SP 2.5.3 installed on a Windows machine running IIS7. We
receive this error message whenever an aspx page is accessed. It works fine
if the URL does not have the specific page name (i.e. IIS displays
Default.aspx).







*"The description for Event ID 7701 from source Shibboleth ISAPI Filter
cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not
installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can
install or repair the component on the local computer. If the event
originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved
with the event.The following information was included with the event:
Filter initialized..."*
The browser displays 503 Service

There are no error messages in native.log. Any pointers on what needs to be
checked.
