defending shib-idp after commercial cert installed for tomcat6

>Sounds like a Tomcat issue. To determine, if you can connect to that Tomcat instance via SSL in a browser, then the Tomcat configuration is ok. So I would try to access the ROOT app >or any app that is not Shibboleth located on that Tomcat instance. 

Paul, thanks for the idea. I will give that a try when we can schedule a time to put the new cert back in place.
