Unfortunately you're 3-4 versions back on an unsupported platform. So
basically, if you can reproduce with 2.5.3, happy to look at a stack trace
in a bug report. If we can reproduce then on a supported OS, I can at
least tackle it.

You can also search Jira for fixes in 2.5+ to see if any fixes might
apply. I have no specific recollection and I'm not spotting anything after
a quick search.
