Ah, nothing relevant showed up from google, I didn't think of searching the issue database. I'll have to remember to do that, the bug you point out pops right up on a search for "edu.internet2.middleware.shibboleth.common.attribute.filtering.provider.match.basic.AbstractAttributeTargetedStringMatchFunctor" :). Although I might have still had the bother the list to clarify my understanding of the discussion.

Cool; I'm glad I wasn't doing something that didn't work, and am happy to have the configuration both continue to work the way I originally wanted and be correct now :).
