Shibboleth IdP 3 beta 1 and Testshib.org metadata validation

When uploading Shibboleth IdP 3 beta 1 metadata (the default metadata 
created by the Windows MSI installer) to testshib.org, I get:

"The file you are attempting to upload is not valid metadata. Please 
correct any errors and try again."

The testshib.org process log doesn't show anything. I've had the same 
experience with the alpha 3 release, but no problem configuring the same 
metadata to work with a local Shibboleth SP installation.

There are various IdP metadata differences from from 2.4 such as the 
EntityDescriptor and IDPSSODescriptor values.

Is this any overly aggressive testshib.org validator or just something 
that should not yet be tried?

Any workarounds?
