I'm the main person working on the Shibboleth MDA, but not all the work I do on it is done directly. We use it heavily in the UK federation, and in some other projects I am involved with, and quite a lot of work is done in those projects initially then migrated "upstream" into the Shibboleth code base when it's mature, for the next 0.x release.
