You don't have to convince me, you have to convince their code. My guess
is their configuration isn't loading the right key, but otherwise they
apparently have a bug.

If you want to know what I would have done if I ran into that error, the
answer is that I wouldn't spend a single solitary second on it. I'd report
it to them and park the project until they deal with it.
