I'm not arguing over what people do or don't do, I'm just talking about
what it means to be an administrator of complex services.

Telling people that they don't need something only works until they do
need it and then they complain about what you told them. You can't really
win there.

I agree that you don't want to default to doing certain things that a
small minority might need, of course. I have no problem with turning off
SAML 2 queries by default in V3, and I think we should have done it in V2.
