You can do that but changing the hostname in the webserver has nothing
to do with what I suggested. I was only making a suggestion with
regard to the globally unique name of your SAML SP, configured in the
entityID and reflected in SAML metadata about that SP.
Also be sure to check the log file more closely for earlier occurances
of problems, which might help find the exactl cause (cf. the wiki page
I linked to).
