Reading RedHat 5 per the subject line instead of the second 2.5 above, the answer is yes.  That change, incidentally, has already been in production for a couple of weeks so if your system is still working you're fine.

If you have additional questions about the UK federation signature transition, contacting the federation helpdesk (at service at ukfederation.org.uk) would probably be your best bet.
