We have extended some parts of the IdP.  In particular, we have a custom
storage service, custom login and logout servlets and a number of custom
login modules.  The custom login servlet reads the cookie which is set
by the application login before it redirects to the IdP.  (To do this we
have to redirect the user through a cookie setter in the same domain as
the IdP before we land them on the SSO URL.)
