YUP... , we have problems here at Florida with this as well. We are in a Net + project that has a net+ vendor that does not seem to care about the federation model we work hard to move forward.
We have had to create an alternate login separate from the Shibboleth. I would like to see pressure brought on this vendor to provide service so that the InCommon federation model could be used.

It is like Lync in that is uses WS-Trust not WS-Fed, so I think that means no shibb interop.
When I spoke to Msft at EDUCAUSE, they seemed certain about it not working with shibb.
