Shib SP fails on MD load with URL

@Tom: Yes I know that. I normally use a URL with backing file for all the MD (and am doing so with this). For the logs, what I posted is what was in the logs (there were no other logged references to the issue).
@Peter: Yes I know that we run an older version of the SP. However, when I upgraded to the current earlier this year there was an issue where certain IDPs that required signed requests were not getting the signing so I reverted back to the known good/working version I had previously and all problems went away so I will be on this version for a while. Talking to Scott when I did that upgrade the changes for my system in the new version were not significant enough to be an issue staying on the older version.
I forwarded Peter's findings to the IDP - I'll see what they have to say.
