Does shibboleth generate saml2p:Extensions

Hi

I would like to generate the Extensions along with the attributes in
Assertion. I need to send XML message inside the Extensions. Can somebody
please point me to documentation on how to generate the saml2p:Extensions. 

Is there any setting we can do in the config files to generate the
extensions ( using Shibboleth standar Authentication Engine ).
