It is indeed different.  We are now re-coding the app to support this while remaining backwards compatible with all the existing customers.  It would be VERY cool if there was a single standard attribute for this kind of thing /sigh

Correct (and entityID is not the right answer as it is).

As I said, I favor using an entitlement or a custom attribute that
specifies a contract identifier specific to your system, because that's
what this is really about. It's not usually about an organization at all,
but billing. Your case may of course be different.
