I don't know how this alone (the above should have been WARNings, not
ERRORs) could have fixed your RelyingParty error.

What OS, how did you install the SP? Most GNU/Linux systems log to
/var/log/shibboleth/ (except Debian based systems, which use syslog
but only for the native log).
