I'm doing this for the first time on a true "blue" RedHat system. Current patches. I'm getting:
> May 1, 2013 11:41:46 AM org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig deployDescriptor
> INFO: Deploying configuration descriptor idp.xml
> May 1, 2013 11:41:51 AM org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext start

> May 1, 2013 11:41:51 AM org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext start

> SEVERE: A web application created a ThreadLocal with key of type [org.springframework.core.NamedThreadLocal] (value [XML bean definition resources currently being loaded]) and a value of type [null] (value [null]) but failed to remove it when the web application was stopped. To prevent a memory leak, the ThreadLocal has been forcibly removed.

This problem seems to come up from time to time with mixed resolutions. I've got the right endorsed directory setting. I have not modified the catalina.properties file. Upgrade/replace from 2.3.8 to 2.4, no change.
Any words of wisdom, or should I just change to another platform? I'm not excited about debugging the platform.
