We will certainly look into the nameID issue, also it is clear what to do as
well, but bad certificate error is a big unknown, first place why they get
SOAP errors, definitely a misconfiguration, Do you have any document to
share with us, how you configured the OIF to work with Shibboleth

But with regards to your below comment

Our certificate is being used by other SPs (obviously not baed on OIF) got
no issues, which means there is some issue with the way it get loaded in
OIF, considering it is self signed, do we have to send them the root CAs
etc,

All we gave them was our meta data which obviously includes everything.


If you can share your experience with OIF with Shibboleth experience
(probably in wiki as an article), that will help lot of us and others.
