Hub and Spoke: Possible to do SP initiated SSO?

If not even that wouldt work I doubt people would still build (and
run) such things, so yes, very likely.
Of course H&S by itself doesn't say how things are implemented at any
given federation but federations without a single SP using
SP-initiated SSO are hard to imagine (to me),
