Ok, I thought it was successful, now when I restart tomcat I get this:
10:49:01.680 - ERROR [edu.internet2.middleware.shibboleth.common.config.BaseService:188] - Configuration was not loaded for shibboleth.RelyingPartyConfigurationManager service, error creating components. The root cause of this error was: java.lang.NullPointerException: null
The configurations have remained the same.
I even restored the original .jdk and I still get the above error, any idea?
Regards
Yusuf

Welcome to the wonderful world of keytool and keystores. Just make sure you have the LDAP server's certificate trusted via some mechanism like importing it to the Java trust store(e.g. cacerts) as well.
Let me know if you don't have a successful connection.
