That seems promising. Yes my web app does live in same container as IDP.
Are there samples of this usage somewhere?

The resolver also has access to the requestContext and other servlet context, I think, if your web application lives in the same container the IdP does.
If not what kind of protocol does your web app support for getting at the data? E.g. Jim Fox contributed a RESTful web services connector (cf. Community resources in the documentation), -peter
