The protocols and profiles supported by the Shibboleth software are
listed on the website. Whether that fits your requirements is up to
you.

But since you mention "mailbox", "Zimbra" and "openldap" I'm pretty
sure you're in the wrong place. Shibboleth won't help you there.
Kerberos might.
