A correct assumption. And on further inspection at the rest of those lines, it turns out I created an infinite loop of http redirects due to some URL rewriting on the server where the metadata that the DS was trying to fetch lived.

A careless mistake to say the least. We're back in business now. Sorry for the noise.

I would guess the code bug is somewhere in that "and so on".
