Yes. Stop including a validUntil attribute in metadata you manually
provide to an IdP, that doesn't serve any purpose.

It would help us to understand why the log information didn't lead you to
the problem. It told you the metadata was expired. What information was
lacking that didn't enable you to correct the problem by fixing the
metadata? Indicating what documentation you looked at would help us add to
it.
