Configuring <md:EntityDescriptor> ID attribute

You mean the one being auto-generated by the SP's metadata handler,
the metadata of which has the large warning about not using it as is? :)
You could remove it before passing it on. Or leave it in there.
I don't think the ID on an invidual entity will cause problems when
being part of an EntitiesDescriptor (with a different ID).
