My Shibboeth Service provider never contacts the testshib authentication page

I am new to Shibboleth. I recently just installed an IdP and tested it using
testshib.

I also, on a different machine, tried to install a SP using IIS7. I followed
all the instructions and I can see the status page. I then moved on to the
testshib test. I uploaded my metadata, created a new shibboleth2.xml file,
but when I go to https://localhost/secure I never reach the testshib
authentication page. 
The shibd.log file does not have any information (and yes, it is running).
What could be wrong?
