To the latter: You definitively don't add affiliation values to
satisfy your IdP configuration.
To the former: Not sure what the script does but it seems to be
missing a check or doing some wrong. No value for an attribute should
not generate an error. So take a closer look at your Script or post it
here if you think others are more likely to find the culprit.
