Hi Scott,
Based on your input, I setup the IDP on tomcat6 ( env: HPUX_1131 ) and tried
to send Authentication requests from 10 clients simultaneously. Every client
is configured to send 100 requests sequentially. Every client sends new
request only after getting successful response of previous request.
Before running this test, attached HP Jmeter to see the CPU usage and JAVA
Method hotspots.
Most of the CPU is consumed by following two methods.
30.1% (±7.5%)
edu.internet2.middleware.shibboleth.idp.util.HttpServletHelper.getCookie(javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest,java.lang.String)
22.7% (±6.8%) org.opensaml.util.URLBuilder.buildQueryString()
Is there any way that we can bring down the CPU usage by these two methods.
If you need any specific detail, please let me know.
Thanks in advance for your help.
