Help configuring custom relying party for a relaystate url

Well, I didn't totally discount the idea that there could be one thing that
did it all... but I guess in this case, I was trying to find anything that
could possibly be the problem. Their end is such a black box that I have
started grasping at straws.
So assuming their metadata is ok, then I think the problem must lie in
their configuration - which is what I told them at one point in the dozens
- scores - of emails we've exchanged. I asked them to compare it with one
that IS working, since they supposedly have done this before.
Thank you so much for verifying this (and for verifying I should have
gotten metadata.) Since one doesn't usually see those intermediary URL
steps in the process, I couldn't say for sure if it was just my
inexperience that made that endpoint look odd. Or that made me think you
really NEED metadata for an SP.
